THE URBAN WARRIOR'S CHOICE

In 1999 the USMC launched an exercise that focused on urban combat after experiences in Mogadishu showed the US Military had a growing problem of understanding inner-city fighting.

During this exercise 800 US Marines and a handful of Dutch troops and British Royal Marines were issued with experimental Battle Dress Uniforms in the pattern often called T-Pattern, T-block, T-Mout and sometimes Urban T. The pattern is made up of grey's and black in geometric patterns, in the same theory of urban camouflage as Berlin Brigade camo, it would help troops blend in against buildings. The strange pattern has since garnered a cult following due to its uniqueness and scarcity. With very few pictures of it in use and even less genuine sets on the market, its been a sought after pattern for decades.

The exercise has also been made famous for its testing of various bits of equipment such as buggies, boom lifts with rocket pods attached and most notably: skateboards!

Urban drip for the cultured warfighter!

Warfare Media will soon be offering reproductions of TPATT in:

  • BDU Cut Trousers: Elastics' on waistband, ankle ties, pleated pockets and groin reinforcement! All the details that make BDU trousers so good! And all will be included on our product, as they should!
  • BDU cut shirt: Just like the trousers we aim to create as faithful a replica as possible to the original garments, all details considered.
  • PAGST Helmet Cover: A medium/large sized pagst helmet cover including the correct stich pattern and mounting straps.
  • Patrol Cap: Even though there is zero evidence these existed in 1999, We felt they were probably considered as an option, so we made them in the case someone didn't want a helmet cover.

Questions?

Why TBLOCK?

We think it's cool, we don't think we need another reason.

PAGST Armour covers?

Sorry, we think there is too little demand, maybe in the future :(

Does it come with a skateboard?

Yes! (technically) Buying a full set will mean a free tech deck replica of the skateboard featured in the iconic urban warrior photograph! (while stocks last) More details here.

Why not G3's?

We feel that Tblock is over represented in the modern reproduction market and under represented in the replica/reenactment community. So we saw a great opportunity to both provide some really cool people something they'd love and also try something new for the business.

A faithful replica?

Are you really a bit nerdy? Do you crave something different from the multicam slop that seems inescapable now? Well due to its rarity in the correct BDU cut, TPATT has been a uncommon sight in recent years, and we're surprised no one's providing the market with what it needs! We hope we can do this iconic pattern justice by producing the best replica we can and facilitating some more cool kits with it.
